There are several shared instrumental laboratories with particle size analysers, HPLC, gas chromatography (including headspace analysis), capillary electrophoresis, atomic absorption, IR, UV-vis and fluorescence spectrometers and electrochemical equipment. Ion chromatography gel-permeation chromatography and specialist sample preparation equipment is available (microwave digestion and accelerated solvent extraction).
